IGN Grassroots Spotlight

The Insurance Institute of Indiana recently visited with Ms. Neline Wooley of State Auto in Indianapolis. Neline has been a member of the Insurance Grassroots Network for three years and has served as the Chairwoman of the Grassroots Committee for the last two years.

In her daily duties at State Auto, Neline serves as the Branch Administration Assistant for the Indianapolis Regional Office. In this capacity, Neline assists the Regional Manager in the daily activity of servicing over 500 licensed agents in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana. Although Neline has a full plate of responsibilities at work, she also finds time to be involved in various extracurricular activities.

Neline is a proud member of Toastmasters International and is the Area 34 Governor. Toastmasters is a worldwide club where professionals of all backgrounds gather together to hone their public speaking and communication skills. As Area 34 Governor, Neline brings together the various Toastmasters clubs in the Indianapolis area to foster a greater sense of community and coordinate various speech competitions. Even with her commitment to Toastmasters and State Auto, Neline manages to find time to spend with her two dogs and one cat. And of course, Neline remains actively involved with the Insurance Grassroots Network

As an industry professional, Neline understands the important role individual employees play in maintaining the favorable insurance environment in Indiana.

“As industry professionals and insurance consumers, it is important we stay involved to protect our livelihood,” Neline said. “We must also be vigilant to safeguard the daily security insurance provides us as consumers.”

Neline, like the many other members of the Insurance Grassroots Network, is a strong advocate for the insurance industry in Indiana, and an excellent example of why it is important knowledgeable industry employees continue to be active.

The Insurance Grassroots Network is a communications system that connects employees of the insurance industry with their elected state lawmakers. Its purpose is to educate and guide Indiana policymakers on critical insurance issues. The Insurance Grassroots Network was created in 1987 to connect knowledgeable industry professionals with the lawmakers who need that knowledge to make sound policy decisions.
